Treatments

Chiropractic medicine is based on the diagnosis and manipulative treatment of the joints, especially those of the spinal column.  When a joint dysfunction is present, bodily systems may be disrupted affecting the nerves, muscles, and organs. Care involves "adjustments" that focus on encouraging proper motion of our joints. They are performed by mobilizing fixed joints, either manually or with an instrument.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy involves the process of breaking apart fascial adhesions in muscles that have been left behind from previous injury, or a lifetime of overuse. The scar tissue forms from microtears in the muscle that will inevitably prevent full function.

Flexion Distraction Therapy is a gentle low force chiropractic procedure performed to enhance proper movement of the spine. It is done by use of the physcian's table and is monitored throughout treatment. The therapy is great for treating ailments such as disc injuries, sciatica, stenosis, and more.
Applied Kinesiology is a diagnostic procedure performed by the use of manual muscle testing to evaluate body function through the dynamics of the musculoskeletal system. Treatments may involve specific joint mobilization, myofascial therapies, cranial techniques, meridian and acupuncture skills, clinical nutrition, dietary management, counseling skills, evaluating environmental irritants and various reflex procedures.

Keniso-taping is utilized to provide proprioceptive feedback from your brain to the area being treated. It is applied with a specific degree of stretch to promote proper function of the desired muscle and joint.

Physiotherapy Modalities: Ultrasound and/or Electrical Muscle Stimulation are used to help alleviate muscle soreness from chronic overuse or acute injuries as well as decreasing stiffness associated with degenerative diseases. These modalities are designed to tire tense muscles, block pain receptors and induce endorphin release.
Visceral Manipulation: Use of doctors hands, and extreme perceptive ability to feel the fundamental being inside your skin. Our viscera (organs) have direct attachments to our skeleton. Pains in and around our spine can be a result of disfunction in these organs with or without symptoms being felt in said organ. This technique is extremely gentle and amazing at improving whole body health.
